Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth;

Hello Donors!!
We are rejoicing because Divine Junior School is open and children are attending!!
I am back home and marveling at what the Lord has done in Masaka, Uganda. We just helped construct and open the only Christian school in the Nenyendo area. Praise God! Jesus has brought about so many wonderful events. The school is getting its finishing touches and it is beautiful. Much more impressive in person than the pictures show. It is filled with excited children, ready to learn.
Four teachers have started instruction under Head Master, George Olingo. George has 26 years of experience and is a true believer, leading our school. He has done a great job getting everything organized for the start of school, interviewing teachers and applying for all the government licenses. We have all experienced teachers for classes, nursery through level 4. We praise Jesus for bringing His people to us, to staff the school.
The Hope House Dormitory will house a teacher and students who do not live locally. Even so, transportation is very important to the day to day operation of Divine Junior School. Many kids still have to be transported to other schools, medical care, sporting events and such. The current van has seen many miles, runs sporadically and is in constant need of repairs. This is an urgent request for prayers, funds and to share Rock Kidz Uganda with others. The average cost of a used minibus van is over $10,000 USD in Uganda.
Many people have worked very hard to construct the school. Very little "modern" equipment was used in construction. The workers were a marvel. I got to watch the desks being assembled. They are beautiful and well crafted. The Ugandan site inspector suggested an additional latrine be constructed and a larger outside play area be cleared. Otherwise he was very impressed with school building.
You all can be very proud of the school you have helped construct. The community contributed financial support and much sweat equity to the school project as well. Many from the community came to the Dedication Service. There was much excitement and pride over the addition of a school to Nenyendo. It is the goal of Divine Ministries that the school be self-sustaining in the next couple years. Thank you to all who have made this dream come true.
Derrick Ssekitende, our accountant (who was one of our sponsored kids), has done an excellent job supplying us with monthly expenditure reports. He keeps very accurate records of how your donations are being put to use. Thank you, Derrick, for your hard work.
I was able to visit many families and students while there, although many were already in school and I could not meet with them personally. As always, parents and friends expressed their thanks for the donor support of their children. I was able to speak to many of the kids and they shared about their lives, hopes and dreams. We have a group of fine, intelligent young people growing in the Lord Jesus. They have many daily challenges and need our prayers. They are hard working kids who are so very grateful for the opportunities provided to them. They thank you all.
The Amazing Life Worship Center is growing. Pius is pastor and has many new converts. The worship center will be moving to a larger facility which can accommodate the growing congregation in a couple weeks, blessed be the Lord who has miraculously provided again. We praise Him for His blessings to this church.
We are still planning the mission trip for July 18th lasting 10 days. Hoping some of the COVID testing requirements will be eased by then. If you are interested in going, please let me know ASAP.
Thank you donors for your faithful support. We are saddened by the death of Pam Kenney, one of our long time donors. She loved her Ugandan granddaughter and was so happy to be involved in raising her in this Christ centered environment.
We pray your April is blessed and happy. Enjoy spring at last.
Praise God from whom all blessings flow. Praise Him all creatures here below. Praise Him above ye heavenly host. Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Amen
